Good to know: we met Shi Wen last year in this amazing place, as part of international research residency. Discovering her work, we proposed to Shiwen to work on book project crossing her photographs with modern and contemporary art history in a political and aesthetics approach. 

Nowadays, it’s a rare book on the everyday life of the Singaporeans, these people who live in this  « 2.0 city » and in Mecca of international finance. Singapore today could be seen as the capital of the XXIe siècle – as Benjamin would have defined it – but what happens beyond the steel and glass?
